System works as follows

Greeting Routine

Each lesson will consist of a greeting routine that is familiar to the learner. This signals the start of English to them by providing one of the best opportunities for natural language exchange. Keeping to a structure that is recognized by the learner gives them the security and confidence to use their language skills.

Introduction

The lesson will be introduced with a song, chant or game to present the main activity and the theme. The language to be focussed on will be introduced in a fun way.

Activity

The theme is devised to motivate learners to have fun as they use English to join in with the story, rhyme, maths, game, speaking or other activity. These are presented in a non-repetitive order and style to maintain learners’ enthusiasm.

Post Activity

A song, chant or speaking activity will consolidate the lesson. The lesson will end with a familiar goodbye routine that the learner is confident with. The lesson ends very positively, leaving learners eagerly anticipating the next one.

Assessment and Progress

Learners will be assessed at the start of the program and an individual plan of learning generated to best suit the learner. Their progress will be recorded and regularly reviewed.
